Power Control exhibiting at LIFTEX 2022
Stand: G38
Organised by LEIA (the Lift & Escalator Industry Association) LIFTEX is the only exhibition specifically for the lift, escalator and access industry in the UK. Taking place only once every three years, it’s an important exhibition for installers, specifiers, designers and builders to attend to not only discover the latest technology but keep up to date with new and updated industry standards.
After a very successful event in 2019, Power Control will once again be exhibiting at LIFTEX, this time on stand G38.
On the stand, we will have Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for backing up passenger lifts and escalators and a Central Power Supply System (CPSS) for backing up emergency evacuation lifts and firefighting lifts.
The Legrand MCS CPSS that will be on stand is EN50171 compliant meaning it meets all relevant regulations for life safety systems including those surrounding emergency lifts such as BS 9999. A CPSS system is an often overlooked alternative to diesel generators. They are lighter, smaller and easier to install, especially if it’s being installed on the top floor of a high-rise building
For general passenger lifts, we will be demonstrating the CertaUPS single phase UPS systems with intelligent IoT monitoring software ideal for supporting the control panel and motor and a Borri three phase UPS option.
We will also have a range of Yuasa VRLA batteries on the stand. These batteries are used in external battery cabinets to increase the runtime of a critical power system.
During the event, the team from Power Control will be on hand to discuss these solutions and how and why it is important they meet these regulations for providing backup power to emergency lifts. The team will also be able to advise on backup power systems for standard lifts and escalators.
Power Control Ltd is a supplier, installer, commissioner, and maintainer of UPS, CPSS and generator solutions. Our Engineers are factory trained and partake in regular refresher training to enhance their skillset.
