Background

Frontline Electrical Ltd. approached Power Control on behalf of a newly converted private healthcare clinic in the West Midlands. With the building now operating as a medical facility, reliable and resilient power infrastructure was essential to support critical medical equipment and safeguard operations across multiple floors.

This partnership followed a successful collaboration on another project in South Yorkshire, where Power Control delivered a tailored UPS solution. Building on the trust and relationship established, Frontline Electrical engaged Power Control again to support this more complex healthcare installation.

The Challenge

The healthcare facility needed a complete and robust power backup solution to protect both its medical systems and wider building infrastructure. With patients and staff depending on uninterrupted power, the stakes were high. The installation demanded seamless support for critical medical equipment across three floors, as well as building-wide resilience through generator backup. 

Delivering this within the constraints of a recently converted facility presented both technical and logistical challenges.

Solution

After detailed consultation with Frontline Electrical, Power Control designed and delivered a comprehensive backup power system. At the heart of the solution was a 100kVA Legrand KeorHPE UPS, which now provides critical support for medical equipment throughout the facility. Complementing this, a 350kVA generator was installed to safeguard the entire building’s power infrastructure, ensuring that operations continue seamlessly in the event of a power outage.

The Outcome

The project was completed successfully, meeting the client’s requirements and overcoming the design challenges that arose during the process. The combination of trusted technology, responsive service, and close collaboration with Frontline Electrical ensured that the facility now operates with complete confidence in its power resilience.
